how do you tell to a five year old: what does forgiveness of sins mean? what is sin? why do you need to be forgiven? who forgives them? what happens if you do not ask for forgiveness?
Wow! What a challenge! To have a child who has not learned more or less by osmosis from birth in a forgiving environment. I do know one thing, that he probably sees more than he can express in you, when you say you are sorry or live out forgiveness.
